Exceedingly, Abundantly, Above, All

Ephesians 3:20 “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,”

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. It has been said if you can believe the first verse of the Bible, the rest comes easy. The universe reaches out beyond our comprehension. As complex as we humans are, we still don’t know most of what can be known about our earth. There is more to be discovered than we know.

The same could be said about the human body. One doctor put it this way, “The last frontier may very well be understanding the human body.” It is God who spread out the universe like a blanket and who made the earth and who created complex life to populate it.

This is the very God who loves you and wants you to know Him, and to know you. This verse tells us He can do exceedingly abundantly above all.... Any one of these words alone would be great! Here, we find them building on each other and as they are put back to back, they gain power.

Then, that He can do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or think! I don’t know about you, but I can ask and think a lot and He can exceed all of those things! I have found this to be true in my own life. When I was a young pastor, I asked God to build the church to around three hundred people and if He would do that, I would tend and care for His flock. For me, that was faith. I never thought the church would grow bigger than that. Today we have two campus’ that minister to thousands each week.

God indeed can do more than we ask or think. What is your need today? Have you taken them to the God who created the universe and loves you? He not only can do exceedingly abundantly above, all. He loves you and wants to work in your life today.

Blessings,

Pastor Robert
