Trusting in Jesus

About a week and a half ago, I announced that my wife had been diagnosed with lung cancer. I wanted to give an update on the information we have since received. We now know what kind of cancer it is and, this coming week, have scheduled two appointments with two different oncologist, to set a course and treatment plan for fighting this thing.

We are doing good, under the circumstances, by keeping our eyes on Jesus, and trusting in Him, We have found the peace that is beyond understand, and even joy in each other and our Savior. We covet your prayers and will keep you posted so you can know how to pray for us.

Pastor, cancer is not one of the trials that I have walked through with the Lord. I will continue to pray specifically for you and Lisa. Your blog is very helpful and I appreciate your sharing this personal, difficult journey. I know that our God is so faithful to be right there with us during the trials. That I have experienced. I can say with certainty that He is in control of your lives, and I will pray that He makes it perfectly clear which direction to go after getting the doctors' opinions on this cancer. Lifting you and Lisa up to Jehovah Rapha.

Pastor Furrow, we have never met but my fiance goes to your church. She told me about your wife's cancer and my prayers go out to you, your wife, and your family. I mentioned to my church about your wife's cancer and our church (Grace Baptist Church, Appleton, WI) is praying for you, your wife, and your family.
